We're expecting a BABY...

GIRL!

We thank God for this wonderful blessing in our life  

and we can't wait to meet her!

Mark, Jonas and I went to the ultrasound today and were

able to see the baby move!  We found out that she is

growing perfectly and looks very healthy!

It's fun that I've been able to feel her moving around and kicking

and then we were able to see her in action today on the screen.

Jonas and I had fun picking up some pink balloons to celebrate!

Jonas knew all along that the baby is a girl!  "God told me it's a girl", he said.

Smart boy!  He's going to be a wonderful big brother!!

Can't wait to meet you sweet baby girl!  See you in December!!

Road Trip to Wisconsin - Part 3

Jonas' favorite thing to do while on vacation (and all other times!)

is to play in or around the water.  This was at Crystal Lake in Wascott, WI.

Road Trip to Wisconsin - part two

The day he had been waiting for was here!  

A sunny day for fishing with Grandpa and Grandma!

Road Trip to Wisconsin - part one

Jonas and I took a little adventure of our own this summer...

One Thursday morning, we packed up the car,
left South Carolina and headed to Wisconsin!
(we were really sad that Mark couldn't join us - he had to work)

After six hours of travel, our first big pit stop was in Knoxville, TN.  

There is a pretty awesome water play area at the World's Fair.

Jonas loved it there when we visited friends 

last year so we decided to stop again.

It was really hot out, but the water was COLD!

We had a picnic lunch and stayed for a little over an hour

while Jonas played and made a few friends.

The playground was pretty fun too!

We drove all day to Indiana.  We spent the night and drove the rest

of the way to Wisconsin the following day.  We met up with my parents

at their campground around 10:30 that night.  Not bad for one person driving...

This was our view when we woke up Saturday morning!  I LOVE it!!

Time to explore before a day of fishing with Grandpa Mike!

While Jonas and Grandpa fished, Mom and I drove into town 

to pick up Jonas' Uncle Greg.  He spent the day with us... which was really nice!

It wasn't really warm enough to swim, so they looked for treasures 

and practiced the art of skipping rocks!

Jonas skipped one and I actually got it on film!

Happy Fourth of July!

A little fun with art projects this week led Jonas to make

a Fourth of July Rocket Ship.  He's been having lots

of fun throwing that around in between painting flags

and creating many other things for the house!

We've got to get crafty when the temps are in the hundreds!

Mark has sanded the floor in Jonas' room... and it's ready for stain!

Mark's going to remodel the rest of this room in the near future after

our room is complete.  I'll post pictures of that process once it's finished.

We had a fun day together - even though Mark got called out to work for a 

couple hours today.  Please ignore the piles of mess.. 

we've had to clear out two rooms  in our house for the current renovations. 

We made grilled burgers and toasted buns with all the yummy toppings.

Chips, jello mousse, lemonade and jello oranges rounded out our festive dinner.

We're saving some fresh from the Farmer's Market Watermelon for a late night snack!

They were pretty fun to eat!  The surprise factor was the best part of it for me...

Mark and Jonas didn't know I was making them so they looked at

me in amazement when I took them out of the fridge.  He he.

Glow sticks... they are awesome!  Jonas loves them.

He was very excited to get a pack of them tonight.

We watched the fire works from our front yard while Mark and Jonas played 

with a couple packs of sparklers... it was a nice night!
