Charity Golf Tournament

This was the first annual charity golf tournament that our club 

put on this past Saturday.  Had fun taking pictures while riding around 

on a golf cart during our club's tournament on Saturday.  It's

a beautiful course.  I wished I had Jonas and Mark with me

so we could golf and enjoy it together!

Jonas loves tunnels... I just had to take this one!

The course is filled with rolling hills.  It was breathtaking!

Our club raised a nice amount of money for our charity 

during this fundraising event!  

Time for Pampering

We had a great Mom's Night Out last night...

pampered toes & souls!

I love my time with friends.

Strawberries and Orange Cream Cheese Dip

Strawberries and Orange Cream Cheese Dip

                                          8oz. pkg. 1/3 less fat cream cheese, softened

                                          1 C powdered sugar

                                          2 Tbs. fresh grated orange zest

                                          2 Tbs. orange juice

                                          2-3 Tbs. skim milk 

Place the cream cheese and orange juice in a medium bowl.  

Blend until creamy.  Add the powdered sugar and blend again.  

Add the milk until you have the right consistency.  

Blend in the orange zest.  Serve with your favorite fruit.           

Birthday "at the Beach"

Jonas and I decided to go to "the beach" for my birthday!

We stood in his beachy room and had our pictures taken.  

He loves going "on vacation" in his room!

After a great day having fun outside,

Mark made a great dinner for my birthday...

I usually have Angel Food Cake for my birthday but this year

I wanted to be a little different.  I asked for German Chocolate cake with

homemade coconut pecan frosting.  Mark is a great chef and baker!!!

Jonas was a tired boy!

Biking Fun!

We went to the Greenway in Augusta to let Jonas try out

his bike on the "open trail".  Training wheels and all!  

He did a great job and had lots of fun.

He especially liked going over the bridges

We tied a rope on the back just in case he got going down

the hill too fast!

We had a little race - Jonas won!

Maybe we'll bring our bikes next time... 

Hopelands Springtime Puppet Show - April 7, 2010

Every year during the week of spring break, a puppet

show comes to Aiken from Charlotte!  This year was the first

that Jonas really enjoyed it.  He had lots of fun

playing with his friends and experiencing all the fun that comes

with a puppet show in the park!

Chocolate Swimming!

Ok... it wasn't swimming in chocolate.. but here it is!

Jonas got a Peter Rabbit chocolate bunny in his basket this year.

He didn't have any on Easter, but really enjoyed it the day after!

We typically don't give him a lot of candy or chocolate, but we seem to be giving in a little

more lately.  It sure was fun for him!!  No, he didn't eat the whole thing.  We still have some in the 

pantry.  Hopefully his Mommy doesn't get it!  ; )

he gets that love naturally... his Mommy & Daddy both love chocolate.  

Then - it was time to SWIM!!!  Yes, it's April!!

The water was chilly but it was over 80 degrees outside!!

Jonas found his Easter basket right next to his parents' bed

this year!  He was excited to see a scribble & write!

One of the first things he enjoyed was a piece of chocolate!

Then his Daddy read him a story of Peter Rabbit that came with

his chocolate bunny.

It was time to get ready for church.  Jonas insisted on putting

his first tie on - by himself!

Our church service was great!!!  We had two services this year.  

Great music and a wonderful message.

We tried taking a family picture at church, but it was too sunny!!

So we took a couple in our front yard after getting our sun glasses.

Jonas was excited about his Easter Egg Hunt in the backyard!

  

They were in trees, on his climbing wall and all over.

It was a fun-filled Easter!
