We were so happy to raise money for our charity this year!  We had a charity golf tournament and were able to raise over $1500.00 for the children at Children's Place Inc.  They have a preschool and also take in children who have special needs.  They send social workers to the families that need extra help at home.  We have supported them all year.  Our kids had a great time playing at their playground while we gave them the donation.  I'm SO happy and blessed to be a part of such a fun, loving and giving group of moms!  Jonas loves all of his great friends he's made through the club, too!!

Our Latest Kitchen Renovation Update

Here are the latest pictures from our kitchen.

After tearing down the upper cabinets, we decided

to tear out the ceiling.  The part that was not "part of the plan"

was replacing all of the rafters that were wavy and twisted.

I guess that explains why our ceiling was uneven.

Mark is also putting all new wiring in as he goes.

One wall and a ceiling completed with insulation and sheet rock.

Here's the rest!

Then we decided it was time to pull 

the cabinet out that has the sink in it.  The "plan"

was to pull it out, put sheet rock up on the wall and then

push it back until we get our new cabinets...

It didn't work out quite like that.  The cabinet basically

fell apart.  : )  The sheet rock WAS the back of the cabinet.

We had to completely pull it apart and haul it out to the deck.

This was the bottom of our cabinet.  We're so glad it's out!

We kept the sink and counter top and Mark began planning...

and came up with this!

It's not so pretty.. but it works!  Temporary, of course.  No leaks either!!

I'm so proud of Mark :) who says he doesn't do plumbing.

So... that's our kitchen.  Stay tuned for future updates!!

Pony Rides and a Picnic

We went to Fort Gordon for Pony Rides and a Picnic with our friends in the Mom's club.

It turned out to be a beautiful day!

Jonas had a great time riding the ponies!

I love my little man... he's such a sweetie.
