The Wise Old Owl

This is a poem I found and really liked it, so I had to share.






Wise old owl sat on an oak;
The more he saw, the less he spoke;
The less he spoke, the more he heard;
Why aren't we like that wise old bird?

Our Picnic

We decided to picnic outside today.  It was so nice out!

Jonas enjoyed his relaxing meal.

Then he decided to take some pictures of his own....

I even had a little time to read while Jonas played!  

It was a great day to be outside.

Beautiful Day

We had a wonderful day today!  

We met some friends and visited the horses at our local horse rescue.  

It's a fun, exciting and rewarding thing to do together.  What a wonderful day we had.
Jonas ran with his friends up and down the green hills, fed the horses, climb fences, pet the horses and ran some more!!!  It was a BEAUTIFUL day.

For the past 3 weeks Jonas has been sick.  

It all started with a cold.

He then had a double ear infection.  

Thankfully he told me when it started to hurt.

Unfortunately the medicine that his doctor 

prescribed caused him to brake out in hives!  

This was his first ear infection and his first time getting hives.

He also got sick from the medicine.  We thought he had a virus, 

but I think it was from his medicine since it didn't last.

He did enjoy sitting and watching his favorite shows with snacks.

Finally his cold is gone!  No more coughing keeping him up.

We've been spending a lot of time outside lately.  Yeay, SPRING!

We're going in tomorrow for his follow-up appointment 

to check his ears.  We're praying all is well!

What a strong and brave little boy we have.

Kitchen Update

We are slowly working on updating our kitchen.  Mark has replaced

all of the electrical on the right half of the kitchen.  He has

also added the pantry! - You can't see it very well here.

The ceiling is open to the attic right now because we took 

out the tiny broom closet & the bedroom closet

 to expand the kitchen.

The floors were in bad shape & were next on the list.

After more than three layers of flooring, we thought the 

floor was hardwoods throughout but it turns out they only go

halfway into the kitchen.  Do you like our pretty paper on the floor?

On to "Plan B"... or is it "Plan F"??

A Bouncing & Climbing Good Time!

Completing the Office

This is what we started with...

here are the final steps of our office renovation...

painting the base board, trim & crown molding

installing it

new fan & new electrical throughout

new carpet...

It's Done!  Time to enjoy.

Snow Day
